Musée
Lille · Nord · Hauts-de-France
The House of Photography in Lille is an institution dedicated to photography, located in the North and covering the entire Hauts-de-France region. Since 1996, it has organized exhibitions of French and international photographers, as well as workshops and practical photography classes. The institution functions as a place of exchange and mediation for young photographers, also offering debates, round tables and conferences on contemporary issues in the profession. Beyond its museum vocation, it has reception and private event spaces, and extends its reach across several communes in the region through a decentralized workshop program. Its history dates back to 1933 with the General Paper Office, before its restructuring into a institution dedicated to photography.
