Le Grand Coteau - Demeure Francis Poulenc

Noizay · Indre-et-Loire · Centre-Val de Loire

Grand Coteau is a 16th-century residence located in Noizay, in Indre-et-Loire, in the Loire Valley. Listed in the supplementary inventory of historic monuments, it is associated with composer Francis Poulenc, who composed his major works there from 1927 onwards. The site, awarded the "Maisons des Illustres" label in 2023, offers visits to the musician's studio and study, preserved in their original state, as well as photographic documents and musical archives tracing his career. The property includes a French formal garden terraced overlooking the vineyards of the Vouvray AOC, as well as a wine cellar. Open to the public since July 2019, the museum welcomes visitors during defined periods in summer and autumn.
