The Haute-Vienne departmental contemporary art museum has been located in Rochechouart castle since 1985. Recognized, it presents a collection of over 1,300 works by contemporary international artists, built around three fundamental themes: history, landscape, and the imaginary. The museum offers a unique experience combining the architecture and heritage of the castle with contemporary art, with site-specific works arranged in indoor and outdoor routes. The collection notably includes the Raoul Hausmann collection, a major figure in the Dada movement. Located in Haute-Vienne, in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, this museum in a rural area regularly hosts temporary exhibitions and cultural events.
