Located in southeastern Iran near the Afghan border in the Sistan region, this archaeological site represents an important Bronze Age settlement dating to the third millennium BCE. The site is characterized by its multi-layered occupation remains, revealing successive periods of habitation and providing significant evidence of early urban development in Central Asia. Excavations have uncovered architectural structures, craft workshops, and extensive artifact collections including pottery, tools, and decorative items that document the daily life and technological achievements of its ancient inhabitants. The visual landscape consists of mounded earthen ruins spread across the site, with stratified deposits that allow researchers to study chronological development and cultural transitions over several centuries. The settlement demonstrates evidence of long-distance trade connections and specialized craft production, particularly in textile work and stone tool manufacturing. This archaeological record contributes substantially to understanding the cultural and economic patterns of Bronze Age societies in the Greater Indus region.
