This cultural site comprises the former residence of the metropolites (senior bishops) who oversaw the Orthodox ecclesiastical territories of Bucovina and Dalmatia. Located in Ukraine, the residence represents an important example of religious administrative architecture from the period when these regions were part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The building reflects the architectural traditions and cultural synthesis characteristic of Eastern Orthodox leadership during the late imperial era. Its historical significance lies in its connection to the religious governance and cultural life of the Orthodox communities in southeastern Europe. The residence documents the administrative structures and living conditions of high-ranking Orthodox clergy during a formative period in the region's religious history.
