Located within the Great Rift Valley in Kenya, this network of interconnected lakes represents a significant natural system shaped by the valley's distinctive geological structure. The site encompasses multiple alkaline and freshwater lakes that form a unique ecosystem, each with particular environmental and biological characteristics.
