Fortification G is a former NATO master radar station built in 1953 in Belfort, at the top of Salbert Hill. This air defense detection center for the territory, which operated during the Cold War, is today home to a museum dedicated to this historical period. The site offers guided tours of approximately two hours allowing visitors to discover various reconstructed rooms, notably the radar room and a hangar housing a Mirage 3E. The ATOMES association, founded in 2016, continues the restoration and rehabilitation of the fortification with a view to progressively enriching the collections and museum experience. Several historical spaces, including an infirmary, are accessible to visitors. The museum remains in constant evolution, with regular additions of new spaces.
