The New Zealand Museum of Liberation, Te Arawhata, located in Le Quesnoy in the North, is dedicated to New Zealand's participation in the liberation of the city at the end of the First World War. The museum offers an immersive approach combining dramatic narratives, artistic installations and soundscapes to explore this shared history. Its Maori name, Te Arawhata, means "the ladder," in reference to the decisive role of ladders in the liberation of the city. Open Wednesday to Sunday, from 10:30 am to 6 pm, it offers varied admission rates and access for visitors of all ages. The establishment is committed to transmitting the themes of freedom, friendship and the future.
