The Musée municipal des Cordeliers is located in Saint-Jean-d'Angély in Charente-Maritime. The museum is currently undergoing a major transformation, with closure scheduled for May 2026 and reopening planned for 2027. The new permanent exhibition route will be structured around the central theme of Adventure and will focus on two major themes: the Citroën expeditions in Africa and Asia conducted between 1922 and 1932, as well as the rich history of Saint-Jean-d'Angély and its territory, from archaeological discoveries to medieval periods. The museum remains the only public institution dedicated to preserving the memory of these automotive expeditions.
