Musée d'histoire locale
La Turballe · Loire-Atlantique · Pays-de-la-Loire

The House of Fishing is a local history museum located in La Turballe in Loire-Atlantique, dedicated to the maritime and cultural heritage of the municipality. Managed by the association Au Gré des Vents, it offers guided tours, interactive discovery trails and creative workshops adapted for all audiences. The museum is centered around two major heritage elements: the sardine boat "Au Gré des Vents," a 24-ton vessel labeled as a Boat of Patrimonial Interest, which practiced fishing until 1990, and the Kerbroué Mill, built in 1746, which still produces flour and is among the last functioning traditional mills in the region. The establishment welcomes several thousand visitors annually, including a significant number of school groups, and complements its offerings with workshops, mobile applications and escape games.
