Contemporary art museum founded in 1999 by Thierry Ehrmann, La Demeure du Chaos is located in Saint-Romain-au-Mont-d'Or, near Lyon. The museum spans 9,000 m² and presents approximately 7,200 artworks, primarily consisting of 4,500 raw steel sculptures of varying dimensions. Recognized as a "total work of art" by the Ministry of Culture, the venue offers an open-air museum experience combining monumental sculptures, installations, photographs and committed texts. Admission is free and visits are self-guided, with no regular opening hours. The site also houses the headquarters of Artprice by Artmarket, the world leader in art information.
