The Lyon Museum of Historic Textiles and Decorative Arts is an establishment. Located in Lyon, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, it is currently closed to the public for a renovation project aimed at transforming it into a major 21st century museum. The museum's collections cover textiles and decorative arts, with pieces ranging from ancient Egypt to the modern era, including dresses from the 18th and 19th centuries, Oriental fabrics, and French design projects. During the works, an important scientific project for the treatment of the collections is underway, and the museum maintains cultural activity outside its walls through lectures, workshops, and urban walks. Several works from its reserves are on loan in other French and foreign cultural institutions.
