The Textile and Fashion Museum has been located since 1995 in a former bleaching factory built in 1881 by Calixte Ouvrard, one of the last witnesses to Cholet's textile activity, the city of handkerchiefs. Preserved from demolition through the joint action of the Association of Friends of the Cholet Textile Museum and the City of Cholet, this industrial building houses collections tracing the textile history of the region. The museum offers an exploration of the different stages of production, from fiber to garment, and emphasizes the Cholet handkerchief, a historically emblematic product of the region. Located on Rue du Docteur Roux in Cholet in Maine-et-Loire, the museum benefits from the label and complements the city's cultural offerings by providing educational documentation and thematic exhibitions.
