The Savignéen Museum is a museum in a rural area located in Savigné-sur-Lathan, in Indre-et-Loire. The museum offers an exploration of the "Sea of Faluns," a marine environment dating back fifteen million years that covered the Touraine region under a subtropical climate. Its collections include fossils of marine fauna, including sharks and mollusks, as well as remains of contemporary continental fauna, such as mastodons, crocodiles and primates. The museum also presents collections relating to popular arts and traditions, notably ancient tools, Touraine headdresses and Langeais earthenware, illustrating the evolution of local life in past centuries.
