The Paris Sewers Museum is a local history museum located beneath the Seine, near the Pont de l'Alma in the 7th arrondissement. It features a permanent exhibition dedicated to the history and functioning of the Paris sewers, a network developed from the early 19th century in response to public health concerns. The museum, completely renovated and reopened in 2021, offers visitors a modern approach to this little-known underground heritage, with a redesigned permanent exhibition, guided and thematic tours, as well as educational workshops. The establishment also hosts artistic installations and temporary exhibitions.
