The Arts and Crafts Museum is a Parisian institution located at 60 rue Réaumur in the 3rd arrondissement. It preserves and displays collections relating to sciences, techniques and crafts, covering fields such as scientific instruments, materials, communication, energy, mechanics and transportation. Among its notable pieces are Clément Ader's airplane, Lavoisier's laboratory and the first cinematograph of the Lumière brothers. The museum offers guided tours, educational workshops and educational projects for schoolchildren, families and adult groups. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm, with late opening on Friday until 9pm, it is part of an approach to mediation through objects and the transmission of technical knowledge.
