The Chilhac paleontology museum is a scientific establishment located in a rural setting in the village of Chilhac, in Haute-Loire. It holds an official label. The museum displays fossils discovered in the municipality, which bear witness to the local prehistoric fauna. Its collections notably include remains of Auvergne mastodons, southern mammoths, eucladoceros and Stenon's horses, dating back more than two million years. The museum also welcomes school groups. Located at Church Square, it serves as an anchor point for understanding the region's paleontological heritage.
