Founded in 1975, the Nuits-Saint-Georges Museum occupies a former wine house and benefits from the label. It preserves archaeological collections coming mainly from the Bolards site and excavations conducted in the Nuits-Saint-Georges canton, including a notable collection of Merovingian artifacts. The large vaulted cellars of the building house these permanent collections, while the upper floor hosts temporary exhibitions devoted to aspects of regional heritage. Established in Côte-d'Or, the museum testifies to the archaeological and historical importance of Burgundian territory.
