Musée
Saint-Quentin-Fallavier · Isère · Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

The Museum of Rural Life, established in 1990 at the Gargues Estate in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier in Isère, is dedicated to the agricultural and craft heritage of the region. Its collections, restored and preserved by a volunteer association, document rural life from the 19th century through agricultural materials, tools and machinery. The exhibitions occupy a 1500 m² building and several rooms of a Dauphiné farmhouse, allowing an immersive presentation of past practices. The museum offers regular guided tours and organizes demonstrations of traditional techniques such as the making of wooden clogs, walnut oil or flour. It annually organizes a "Festival of the Thresher and Old Machines" and provides equipment rental services for exhibitions.
