The Museum of Resistance in Châteaubriant, created in 2001, is located on the site of the Quarry of the Executed, a major place of memory from World War II. Managed by the Association of Friends of the Museum of Resistance in Châteaubriant, it perpetuates the history of French and Châteaubriant resistance through permanent collections and traveling exhibitions. The museum regularly offers thematic exhibitions devoted to the issues of deportation, liberation, and post-war justice. Free and unrestricted access to the Quarry of the Executed site year-round, with museum opening according to a seasonal calendar and free guided tours available by reservation for groups.
