The BnF museum, located within the Richelieu site in Paris, presents the collections of the Bibliothèque nationale de France, covering a period spanning from Antiquity to the contemporary era. Visitors discover approximately 900 exceptional works there, from various fields: books, manuscripts, jewelry, coins and medals, maps and plans, musical scores, prints, posters, costumes and photographs. The exhibition unfolds through the most beautiful spaces of the Richelieu building, including the Hall of Columns, the Louis XV salon, the Mazarin gallery and the rotunda. The permanent collections of antiquities occupy the first wing, while the Mazarin gallery exhibits church treasures, works on paper and sound and visual recordings. The rotunda is devoted to the performing arts. Certain fragile works are presented selectively in order to preserve the heritage.
