The Battle of Fontenoy Museum, located in Burgundy in the Yonne department, is dedicated to the Battle of Fontenoy which took place in 841. It recounts the events of this fratricidal confrontation between Lothaire, Louis and Charles, the grandsons of Charlemagne. Located in the municipality of Fontenoy, in the Puisaye-Forterre tourist area, the museum is managed by the FONTANETUM 841 association, created in 2004. The museum is open year-round by appointment and offers free visits in July and August, Wednesday through Sunday.
