Musée de l'Accordéon à Siran

Siran · Cantal · Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

The House of the Cazes Brothers is a museum dedicated to the accordion and popular musical instruments, located in Siran in the Cantal, at the border between the Auvergne chestnut region, the upper Quercy and the Limousin Xaintrie. The museum presents a collection built up over time by two passionate brothers, bringing together accordions, hurdy-gurdies and cabrettes, as well as rarer instruments such as music boxes. This collection reflects the musical and cultural history of a region where the accordion holds a central place in traditions and friendly celebrations. Each instrument bears witness both to the personal history of the Cazes brothers and to the life of the territory, its customs and the evolution of popular musical practices.
