The Musée dauphinois, located in Grenoble in the former monastery of Sainte-Marie d'en-Haut, is a museum. Dedicated to the history, ethnography and heritage of the Alps and the Dauphiné, the museum has developed an ecomuseum approach since the 1990s. Its collections embrace a wide diversity of themes: Alpine prehistory, local and regional history, folk arts, mountain life, Alpine traditions, as well as thematic acquisitions focusing on migration, tourism, industry and societies. The museum regularly offers temporary exhibitions and features historic gardens that complement its heritage offerings.
