The Museum of 20th Century History - Resistance and Deportation is a cultural and heritage institution located in Estivareilles, in Haute-Loire. Founded in 1984 by Former Resisters of the Secret Army of Loire and completely renovated in 1999, it offers an immersion into 20th century history through an approach combining local struggles and broader historical context. The museum combines witness objects, photographic archives, soundtracks and videos to document the lived history of four generations. Labeled in 2003, it welcomes all audiences with interactive scenography adapted for children and varied educational activities, including a reception service for school groups.
