The Museum of Aquitaine is a museum located in Bordeaux, in the Gironde department. It has been housed at 20 cours Pasteur since 1987, in the premises of the former Palace of Faculties. The museum traces the history and heritage of Aquitaine over a period of 400,000 years, from Prehistory to the present day. Its collections cover Prehistory and Protohistory, Antiquity, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, as well as modern and contemporary periods. The museum also develops a mission of remembrance linked to local history and has digital resources accessible online.
