Loudun · Vienne · Nouvelle-Aquitaine

The Charbonneau-Lassay Museum is located in an 18th-century private mansion in Loudun, in Vienne. The museum houses rich and varied collections, largely bequeathed by Louis Charbonneau-Lassay (1871-1946), a local scholar with diverse activities: archaeologist, historian, sigillographer, engraver, draftsman and collector. These collections bear witness to the heritage and local history of Loudun. Labeled as a "Museum of France" under the Heritage Code since 2003, it constitutes one of the three museum centers in the city alongside the Renaudot Museum and the House of Romanesque Art.
