The Balzac Museum, located in the Saché castle in Indre-et-Loire, is a literary museum and House of Illustrious Figures dedicated to Honoré de Balzac. It is part of a rural Touraine territory that profoundly inspired the author of The Human Comedy. The museum provides access to rare manuscripts, documentary and educational resources, notably around the novel The Lily of the Valley. Its collections allow visitors to follow Balzac's creative process and discover the Touraine locations that shaped his literary world. The site also offers digital tools, including an interactive map, to explore the novelist's routes and landscapes.
