The Maurice Ravel House-Museum is located in Montfort-l'Amaury, in the Yvelines, in the Belvédère house where the composer settled in 1921. A space for creation and meditation for sixteen years, this residence served as a place of composition for major works of the musical repertoire. The museum is distinguished by the collection of singular and eclectic objects gathered by Ravel in his various rooms, revealing a curious personality beyond his musical work. Visits are conducted exclusively as guided tours of approximately one hour, in small groups due to the limited space. Labeled as such, this house-museum falls into the category of Houses of Illustrious Figures in rural territory.
