Musée
Montrichard Val de Cher · Loir-et-Cher · Centre-Val de Loire

The Fortress and Museums of Montrichard is a medieval site located on a rocky outcrop overlooking the Cher valley, in Loir-et-Cher. The heart of the site consists of the Keep, built in the 12th century by the Amboise family to oversee the valley, and royal dwellings constructed in the 15th century by King Louis XI. The entire complex, classified as a Historic Monument in 1877, houses several museums: an archaeological museum and an ethnology museum. Visitors can discover the site through a self-guided tour of the Keep, accompanied by a visitor guide, or through a guided tour by appointment. Augmented reality features complement the mediation.
