The Promenade Museum, located in Digne-les-Bains in Occitania, is home to the UNESCO Global Geopark of Haute-Provence. As an interpretation space for territorial heritage, it offers exhibition rooms retracing 300 million years of geological history, illustrated by fossils and documentary films on the evolution of regional landscapes. The museum extends into a shaded park equipped with trails, waterfalls and a landscaped garden hosting over 139 species of butterflies. The gardens and pathways are enhanced with contemporary artworks by internationally renowned artists, including a Japanese-inspired garden. The establishment offers self-guided visits, guided tours and activities suited to all audiences.
