Musée ornithologique
Le Blanc · Indre · Centre-Val de Loire
The Écomusée de la Brenne, located in Blanc in Indre, occupies the Naillac castle, a fortress overlooking the Creuse for over eight centuries. Founded in 1986, it is built around a 19th-century ornithological collection belonging to the city since 1901, enriched with ethnological and historical collections. The institution is dedicated to the inventory, study, conservation and promotion of the heritage of the Brenne Regional Natural Park. Through thematic exhibitions focusing on the nature, history and inhabitants of the region, it offers an ecological and heritage approach to the Brenne environment. The museum complements its permanent collections with a regular program of activities, guided tours and family activities.
