Musée maritime et portuaire

Dunkerque · Nord · Hauts-de-France

The Maritime and Port Museum of Dunkirk is located on a former factory site in the heart of Dunkirk's port. It traces the history of the region's naval and port heritage through documented collections and visible ships, including the training ship Duchesse Anne and the tugboat Entreprenant. Its photographic collections illustrate the evolution of local shipyards, from historical establishments to contemporary facilities. The museum offers temporary exhibitions devoted to industrial and maritime themes, complemented by a permanent tour. It also welcomes a diverse audience: school groups, families, groups and researchers, with guided tours and regular activities.
