The Frédéric Mistral Museum is a site museum and house of notable figures located in Maillane, in Bouches-du-Rhône. It is dedicated to the life and work of Provençal poet Frédéric Mistral, Nobel Prize in Literature winner in 1904, who was born there in 1830 and had his residence built in 1876. The museum preserves the poet's dwelling, his furniture, his library and his correspondence, bequeathed to the municipality and constituting a space for work and literary gatherings. Designated a House of Notable Figures in 2017, the venue hosts temporary exhibitions, workshops and a cultural space dedicated to Mistral. The museum also offers an interactive route through the village center, enhanced by connected terminals providing documentary content on local heritage and the figure of the poet.
