The Orléans Museum for Biodiversity and the Environment (MOBE) is a scientific culture institution dedicated to natural heritage and understanding biodiversity. It preserves more than 435,000 specimens and samples from nearly two centuries, including insects, herbals, taxidermied animals, fossils, minerals, as well as archaeology and ethnology collections. The visit route, spread over five levels, presents approximately 1,200 displayed specimens and combines traditional collections, immersive displays, interactive modules and a vertical greenhouse. The museum serves as a conservation center for the natural heritage of the Centre-Val de Loire region, engaged in scientific research focusing notably on the impacts of environmental changes and the evolution of living organisms. It regularly offers workshops, lectures and educational activities for all audiences.
