Cave Yuccas

Troo · Loir-et-Cher · Centre-Val de Loire

The Yuccas Cave is an ecomuseum located in Trôo in Loir-et-Cher, in a former troglodytic dwelling carved into tuffeau stone. This residence, inhabited until 1965, has been fully restored and fitted out to present the intergenerational way of life from the early twentieth century (1910-1940). Composed of five rooms furnished according to the styles of this period, it documents the history of underground housing in the Loire Valley. The site benefits from an exceptional location offering perspectives over the surrounding valley. Managed by an association, the establishment offers seasonal visits and rates adapted for children, complemented by an educational activity for families.
