The Inguimbertine library-museum, established in Carpentras in Vaucluse, is a heritage institution. Located in a former hospital, it brings together collections of ancient literature and visual arts spanning more than 10,000 m², totaling approximately 80,000 documents accessible to the public. The heritage library notably preserves 75,000 ancient books complemented by works of art, allowing for dialogue between written and visual heritage. Supplemented by a multimedia library, it offers temporary exhibitions, educational activities and research services intended for researchers and the general public. The institution functions as a conservation center and a living cultural space integrated into the local life of Carpentras.
