The Musée de l'Empéri is housed in the Château de l'Empéri, an emblematic monument of Salon-de-Provence, since 1967. It welcomes the Raoul and Jean Brunon collection, acquired by the State and managed in agreement with the Musée de l'Armée (National Hotel of the Invalides, Paris). This collection, entrusted to the City of Salon-de-Provence, constitutes one of the first military history collections preserved in France. The museum is open every day except Tuesday, from 10am to 12:30pm and from 2pm to 6pm. It is part of the cultural offerings of the Château de l'Empéri, which has several exhibition spaces.
