The Paleoecological Museum of Cerin-Marchamp, located in Ain, is Europe's first paleoecological museum. It presents the results of world-renowned excavations featuring fossils of exceptional quality: fish, crustaceans, mollusks, reptiles and tree leaves from the Cerin site. These remains bear witness to the existence of a tropical lagoon in this location approximately 145 million years ago, during the Late Jurassic period. The museum welcomes groups, school classes, students and scientists year-round by reservation. It is wheelchair accessible independently.
