The Girodet Museum is a museum located in Montargis, in Loiret (Centre-Val de Loire region), which has held the label since February 2003. It is dedicated to Anne-Louis Girodet-Trioson, a French painter and draughtsman of the 18th and 19th centuries, whose work and life it presents through different periods: his youth, his early successes and his artistic recognition. The museum's collections bring together paintings, sculptures, graphic arts and historical documents, enriched by recent acquisitions of portraits and notebooks by the artist. The museum also features sculptures by other artists, including Henry de Triqueti, as well as a program of temporary exhibitions, educational activities and cultural events throughout the year.
