The Museum of Popular Music is housed in the former château of Montluçon, in Allier. It is, in the sense of the Heritage Code. The museum is devoted to the documentation and presentation of popular music, reflecting a specialized theme in the musical and ethnographic field. Its location in a heritage building in the heart of the city constitutes a notable cultural anchor point for the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.
