The Red Faces Museum, located in Tourves in the Var, is dedicated to the history of bauxite mining exploitation in Provence. The visit route combines a self-guided exhibition with interactive terminals and a reconstructed mine gallery accessible by guided tour. Visitors can discover the origin of bauxite, the techniques for transforming ore into aluminum and its contemporary applications, as well as the living conditions of miners. The museum offers educational activities for school groups and children, as well as guided tours for groups. It is labeled Tourism and Disability for all four disability categories and has adapted accessibility services.
