Musée des explorations du monde (MEM)

Cannes · Alpes-Maritimes · Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur

The Museum of World Explorations, located in Cannes in the former castle of the monks of Lérins, offers collections of Mediterranean archaeology, ethnology, and primitive arts. The Sainte-Anne Chapel on the site houses a collection of musical instruments from around the world. Three rooms dedicated to Orientalism and the arts of Iran open onto the courtyard and medieval tower, offering panoramic views of the city. The museum complements its programming with temporary exhibitions, particularly in its Orientalist spaces. It is accessible year-round from the historic Suquet district.
