Musée de Royat

Royat · Puy-de-Dôme · Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

The Royat Museum, located at Place Jean Cohendy facing the portal of Saint-Léger Church, is dedicated to the local history of the Royat thermal spa. It particularly traces the era of fashionable thermal culture, from the Second Empire and the Belle Époque. The collections include period objects, costumes, manuscripts, postcards and posters that recreate this period of thermal prestige. Visits are conducted by a permanent guide. Open seasonally from May to November, the museum offers easy access by public transport and charges moderate admission fees.
