The Loire River Maritime Museum, established in Châteauneuf-sur-Loire in the Loiret, is dedicated to the knowledge and practices related to boating in the Loire basin. It preserves collections relating to the maritime history of the Loire, including boat models, ancient tools and historical ceramics. The museum carries out active documentation and research work, supported by a resource center and local partners. It offers educational activities, temporary exhibitions and lectures aimed at promoting the Loire nautical heritage, notably recognized in 2025 as national intangible cultural heritage.
