Musée de la Distillerie

Barrême · Alpes-de-Haute-Provence · Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur

The Museum of Distillery is located in Barrême, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, in the premises of a factory built in 1905 by a German company. Open since 2015, the museum is dedicated to the history of lavender distillation and aromatic plants in the hinterland of Grasse. The collections are presented in the heart of the site's original machinery, allowing visitors to understand the processes of essential oil manufacturing. The venue offers temporary exhibitions, thematic workshops and houses a tourist information point as well as a shop. Access is free for individual visitors since 2025, with specific offers for groups and school visits.
