Musée de l’Industrie textile

Vienne · Isère · Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

The Vienna Textile Industry Museum traces the history of cloth-making activity that dominated the local economy from the 17th century to the present day. Housed in a renovated former factory, the museum presents a collection of production machinery, some of which are still functional, illustrating the entire textile manufacturing cycle. Samples from the major Vienna factories accompany these displays, particularly the so-called "Renaissance" fabrics produced from carded wool. The museum offers guided tours, thematic visits, and educational activities for all audiences. Located in Vienne in Isère, in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, the site is accessible to people with disabilities.
