The Museum of Free Art, founded in 1980, is located in Saint-Just-d'Ardèche, on national road 86 between Bourg-Saint-Andéol and Pont-Saint-Esprit. It presents frescoes and sculptures outdoors, accessible twenty-four hours a day. The museum offers individual or small group guided tours by appointment. Its collections and visits are entirely free and operate without subsidies or commercial purposes. The establishment has been run by Jean Mathon for more than three decades and includes peripheral activities, notably a nature park located nearby.
