The Mediterranean Archaeology Museum (MAM) is located on the first floor of the Centre de la Vieille Charité in Marseille. It presents an important collection of Egyptian antiquities, recognized as the second largest collection in the world after that of the Louvre, as well as works from Oriental, Greek, Phoenician, Etruscan, and Roman civilizations. The museum offers a historical journey covering Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, the Mediterranean islands, and Roman Italy. It provides free access to its permanent collections and benefits from a cultural accessibility policy that includes free admission days for temporary exhibitions.
