Aime-la-Plagne · Savoie · Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes

The Archaeological and Mineralogical Museum Pierre Borrione is a site museum located on Saint Sigismond hill in Aime-la-Plagne, in Savoy. It presents collections testifying to human occupation of the territory from the Neolithic period to modern times: prehistoric tools, funerary objects, Gallo-Roman architecture, jewelry, ceramics and coins. These remains illustrate the history of Aime, former city of the Ceutrons and then Roman capital of the Graian Alps from 21 BC. The museum, classified as a historic monument, takes its name from Pierre Borrione, a visionary mayor of Aime. The Society of History and Archaeology of Aime manages the collections.
